Well the time has come to get rid of the quads and move on to a buggy. I just got done putting this thing together, and the motor was built over the summer. I don't race the hill at all, so I built this motor to be a dune monster. It runs and rides great!! Here are some specs. Hopefully I don't forget anything.
2005 501r
Motor
- cp 13.5-1 piston (race gas only)
- Hot rods +3 stroker crank - I sent this off to crankworks in AZ and had it balanced to the piston before installation
- Minor clean up port job.
- crf cam
- All new bearings, seals, and gaskets were installed
- Heavy duty clutch and clutch springs
- Always used Rotella in the motor side and Redline lightweight shockproof in the tranny side
- ESR airbox eliminator intake
- Sparks exhaust
Steering and Suspension
- Roll design +3 long travel a-arms
- PEP 8 click big bottle piggybacks
- g-force +4 axle
- ATV Fourplay +1 antivibe steering stem
- Tag antivibe clamp
- 1 1/8 fat bars
- CCP billet rotary style steering dampner (just like the precision)
Misc
Sikk Mx fat peg nerfbars
Blingstar grab bar and bumper
Works Connection quick adjust clutch lever and perch
Trail Tech bullet lights and custom hood
DFR graphics
Gripper and Pearl white carbon seatcover with 3/4" added
Rear 8x8 douglas beadlocks with 8 paddle haulers
front douglas double rolled lip fronts with razors
I'm sure theres more I'm forgetting. Get a great dune machine for the cost of the front end on it.
