I really need to get a softer rear shock, whats the cheapest and best options. Also I have front shocks that are some type of aftermarket with the cylinders, well they were off another 400ex but i need the bushings for the lower mounts, if i post a pic can you guys tell me where to get the bushings.

it bolts right up, no modifications. I did use my 400ex dogbone linkage and the one from a 450r from the shock to the frame. Lowered it a little

I dont think thats works shocks, they dont look like mine. Kind of was feeling PEP but im not 100% sure. Id have to look at pics of them again

for your rear shock send it off to gt thunder or c&d racing and theyll set it up for you

well they're obviously not triple rates considering they only have two springs.. they look like TCS's to me.

ya i just figured that part out there definetly dual rate shocks, so does anybody know or know where to find the info on how to service them. I know i can pay 150 bucks to have them serviced but i would rather change the oil and recharge them myself, these were given to me and i dont want to spend a lot of money, the main thing is I need the lower bushings so I needed to know who made them so i can order them, ill find some somewhere local and make some heim joints fit or something if i have too.

i figured theyre nitrogen charged but to what psi? and to fill them do you discharge nitrogen, drain oil and fill with new oil back up to bottom of fill whole? and if so what kind of oil?

it's an 05 I think. I'm also gonna switch out the rearend with a full 450r rear so I can have even more of an aftermarket selection of swingarms, axles, hubs, etc

actually seeing as how i will inquire on how to properly reservice them instead of just throwing something at it no i wont get hurt, I know how to handle nitrogen i use it at work on a day to day basis I just need to know the specs. Im not arguing the quality of them, They were given to me I just want to get the most out of them.

so does anyone know what the best year 450 rear shock will work the best, I can modify and make it work however I need to. Also how big a difference did it make.

i think 04/05's work the best. I have an 05 rear on mine and it was just like putting a stock shock on. It made a difference on mine but i think my stocker was shot

The shocks look like works but I think they are TCS shocks due to the looks of the rezzy. I think they are the old style TCS shocks (before Race Tech and threaded bodies) because I have the newer style and the rezzy looks identical.
