HMF head pipe

okay this is more for my friend than me, hes got a full system HMF and after going up the road 30 yards his head pipe is cherry red. I've jetted his quad myself done plug tests and its jetted fine but it still does it? I really have no clue what to tell him any comments

i know of 3 different bikes that have hmf full exhausts, the head pipe on each one of them will be cherry red in less than 5 minutes..even my buddys yfz 450 with a dasa pipe, even his head pipe will turn cherry red very quickly...i think its due to the stainless steel that most pipes are made out of

yea im sure its jetted correctly and I dont think he should keep it like that, my buddy had a z and the pipe was red all the time and eventually it broke off at the front of the motor

I was sure mine was jetted right too, but ended up being lean, ended up going like 3 jet sizes up on the main.....

Mine does the same thing. Stainless pipes will glow.

my pipe glows cherry red. i put a 40 in the main jet for a while and it still did it. think its just the stainless

they will glow bright red at night but if your getting a very bright red during the day time you should jet up a little bit...a light orange is fine tho
