Cam question

Ok guys i traded for a 00 400 ex a while back, and i know it has a .20 over 11:1 wiseco piston, but my question is how can i tell if it has a hotcam in it or not?

do u have the cam out..if so it will say on the cam..if not i dont think there is a way to tell..

the decompresor should be gone also

Newton, i dont have the cam out, when i got the quad the engine was in a box and i had to put it together, the guy had already bought the new parts for it, the cam he gave me was obviously the one that had been in there for a while but it does not have a decompressor on it, hondaking. Could this make it a little harder to crank also, it cranks like an old car with to much advanced timing, kinda fast for a second then real slow then repeats this again. Do they say stage 1 or 2 or whatever on them??

i've never seen one to be honest, so i cant say wat it looks like. and i'm not sure about the cranking either.

yeah not having the decompressor on it will make it crank over harder...i think they say what stage on it but not sure

i have a stage 2 in my 400ex..but i cant remember if it yes it or not..but u can put the decompressor on the hotcams

i went and looked at a hotcam..it does NOT say what stage it is but they have numbers on them so u can look it up and find out what they r
