I got a Black 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S 4 Cylinder for my first car. Id like to make it nice without being ricey.

Im mainly looking at getting an exhaust system, stereo system, and maybe some rims. Are there any exhausts for this car that wont make it sound like a ricer? Id like some thing low profile but still gives some power.

I dont know anything about car audio so if any one could point me in a good direction on this it would be helpful.

And any ideas for rims for this car?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's really hard to make a 4-cylinder NOT sound ricey.. your best bet is probably putting a header and down-pipe on it and retaining the stock cat and muffler.

What color is the car?

Some rims on the car.

Instead of touching the exhaust right away, there's a couple other things you can do. Intake, chip, etc.

Or... save up for this:devil: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03-04-05-06-07-08-09-Altima-QR25-2-5-T3-T4-Turbo-Kit_W0QQitemZ380204827065QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors _Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5885f941b9

Nismo appears to be the most popular among the Nissan enthusiasts. I believe they make an intake and chip/programmer.

Honestly if you are thinking about doing all these modifications to a 2.5S I would have to say to you don't do it...

Best thing to do IMO is to just drive it AS-IS (as boring as it may be and as plain as it may look) until you have saved up some cash on the side so that you can sell the 2.5S and use the money towards a 3.5SE or SE-R.

Honestly the 3.5SE or SE-R would be a much better choice. 250hp ish stock (260hp for the SE-R). The SE-R also has 18" forged wheels, a small body kit, an aftermarket exhaust, an ECU re-program, leather two-tone sport/racing bucket seats, sunroof, optional manual transmission, blacked out lights, a lowered ride height with firmer suspension, and a few other things.

I used to have one. It was a great car, surprised a lot of people with how quick it was, especially on the highway. Surprised more than a few M3s! And on long highway trips you got AMAZING gas mileage.
