Hey guys, just about to rebuild my buds 416, haven't installed a 416 jug before and was hoping to get some ideas for install, I read in the manual to oil everything, and USE YOUR FINGERS to compress the rings during install of the piston in the bottom of the jug, is this how it is done, I have installed car motor pistons before but I use a ringcompressor, ANY tips, tricks, or "this is what I did" will be a great help.

when i had my motor bored, my machinist installed my piston into the cylinder, and i just slid it down and slid the wrist pin in, then pushed the cylinder down.

It worked for me on my rebuild and i did it the same way for another 400 i rebuilt.

When I rebuilt mine i had to use a ring compressor because i couldnt get it in with my fingers.
