can any one tell me what year crank shaft this is?

hey, i have a yamaha yz400f crank shaft, its a 5BE on the flywheel side IIRC... then a D on the other side, im not really sure how much longer this crank would last cause its getting heat trasfer marks...

I did a google search for "5BE yamaha crank" it gave me some results with "5BE-11651-00" as the part#.

I went to cyclepartsnation and did a reverse Part# lookup.

The I found out it was from a 1998 & 1999

i thought it was a 99 also, i did the same thing as you but i searched "yamaha yzf400 crankshaft 5BE" and then a yz400f and i got that part number,

now this might be another dumb question,

can i use any year stator or can i only use the 98 99? i know the kew for the flywheel was different on a few years one has a narrow one and one has a fat one or something like that....
