just out of curiosity. what would u pay for an acre of land in the states, here in ireland we pay way to much for our stuff. that is why i buy everything online from the states. usually half price. my friend at school told me that land is very cheap in america? is that true? land is redicously priced here in ireland. half an acre could go anywhere from 50 thousand euro to 100 thousand euro. and if that was converted to dollars it would be more? we have alot of inflation here in ireland compared to the states, a 4 bedroomed house in ireland would cost 250 thousand to 400 thousand. just seems rediculious compared to the prices u guys have. let me know what u think

In fairfield county where i live which is pretty high on the housing price spectrum in the the united states you could get a 1 acre plot for 100,000-150k USD. 150k converts to about 110,000 euro. For a two bedroom house on the small side your looking at 500,000 usd (350,000 euro) for a VERY modest home. A 3-4 bedroom econo-****box-home in a new development would run you 650k-850k (475,000-625,000 euro).

Again that's on the high end of things here their are still many places where an acre can be had for 20k used or less. A few years ago I tried to buy 5 acres with 3xx feet of salmon river frontage in upstate NY for $15,000

As with all things, land prices just depends on supply and demand. an acre of farm land way out in the country could be 3-4000, and acre on the coast of florida could be a million dollars. Just depends.

it all depends on the loction. a 1/4 acre where i live would go for 100k if not more. this past fall we bought some land for a vacation house and got 2ish acres for 20k.

I'll be buying some in next couple years for cows sheep chickens ducks general farm aminals around here i can get pretty good deals on neglected pastures with building's

i have thought about buying an acre for a track but the bad thing is it's very very flat out here you'd have to truck in loads of dirt other wise you'd have more crater wholes than anything

It depends on the slope of the land here in Kansas tarues's or ridges in a field decreases the value its all about flat land that ideal for farming. farm Land with tarues's sells for about 2500 to 3000 an acre. Flat land without wet zones can sell for anywere between 4500 and 5000. Pasture can go from 1500 to 2500 an acre.
