I use that 2001 stuff that comes in a bright green spray bottle. Try it, you'll like it.

armoral works for me, it doesnt make as much dirt stick like other things that make it shine, ive use gear oil a few times worked great but kinda sticky unless you wipe it off real good but i think it worked better than armoral

I used to use mop-n-glo, 'till I rolled the quad:( Now I just wash it off spray it with wet black tire dressing. And save up for a new set of plastic.

Mop n Glo, or Future works good. Do you guys just squirt it on dry plastics and rub it in, or do you mix it with water when you wash it?

I've been using Lemon Pledge for quite some time and it seems to work really well! It even helps keep the dust away.

silkolene pro-prep....that stuff works really well if you don't wipe it off, just spray it on your quad, and it makes the plastic really shiny, also, when you go and ride, light mud and dirty water will flake up and it makes it really easy to clean off.

Put it on with either a lint free cloth, or a sponge. Not too thick, or it will foam a little in the tight spots and look bad. Just a couple of thin coats.

wtf is wrong with wd-40???? it works good enough, and its cheap. sorry buddy, but i race my scoot, its not a show piece, and it only looks good on the ride up to practice.

BKVIEW4U

it may be cheap . it may work good enuff for you. but i think it is horrible. my quad is yellow. and its almost black after a day of riding. like a dust, dirt magnet. id rather have something that REPELS the dirt.......buddy

that was kinda flamerish:D ....fight...fight....fight!! dont tak ethat man he made fun of wd-40! get him!:D :D

wd-40 does work ok to make it shine and makes dirt fall off easier, but be careful, it also attacks the glossy finish on stock fenders!

and hey, no need to flame, hondafox400 asked for suggestions, and people are offering them, good or bad. If a suggestion "sucks", don't say that, say WHY it sucks instead!

I use Future acrylic floor finish. It works freeking awesome. It also hides a lot of the small scratches when it dries. I put it on after I wash it and it will last through 4 or 5 washings. Great stuff and it does not make the bike spippery or attract dust.:macho

can't we all just get along?

BKVIEW4U
01-28-2003, 06:47 PM
yes we can . heres an experiment for u wd-40 lovers.

spray it on the end of a rubber hose .soak it good. let it sit for a few weeks. and go back . the end with wd40 on it will begin to rot 50 times faster than the one with no wd40 on it. it will slowly eat away the finsh on ur plastic too . use something else . wprks great as a bolt breaker. but its also a oxidant for rubber and plastics.

I was thinkin about gettin some plastic renew to take out some scratches and make the plastic look new. What complaints do u guys that've used it have?

BKVIEW4U
01-28-2003, 09:10 PM
u talkin about plastic renu? it will ruin ur plastic. and it takes a week to sand it .

buy new plastic (which you'll be doing it u use plastic renu) or put some future floor wax on what u have
