Removal of spring and plunger for cam install????

I'm fooling with my cam install stuff right now and it seems as I thought I remembered reading to take the small plunger and spring out? Does that sound right? I really need to know this asap, btw it's a hot cam stage 2

You'll need a small needle nose pliers or a small pick, but yes they both come out. Its on the right side by the cam chain under the decomp mechinism.

Thanks, does the decompressor on the cam have to come off the stock one also and put on the hot cam?
