Took my time coming down, hit a few watering holes for some images. Cold by Florida standards, sure feels good to me and there aint no snow!

Main bridge was out to on eof my favorite areas, so next week I will find a new way in there....hopefully get into some cool stuff!

I found some gators....but only small ones close. The bigger ones were way way out there, I geuss from the cold.

Lucky...the wind is blowing like a freight train and we're getting a dusting of snow...nothing too serious. I just hope it doesn't drift over the roads again.:ermm:

They aint callin for nothin, youll be fine:p The wind worries me more then the snow. Keep a light handy and if it goes out for more then 30 minutes, get a fire started and babysit it. Charge your cell phone and both my battery packs are charged if you need portable power. Phone should work (kitchen wall phone) if no power, mom fixed it:p

Factory Team Suzuki was over here breaking in new quads today, too bad you werent on this side for some pictures lol This weather sucks though, this is the coldest it has been in like 50 years or so. It was hailing all last night or freezing rain w/e you want to call it. Ice pebbles hitting everything because it was in the 20's again. Just crazy weather here, I whitnessed it snow on January 9th, actual snow. Moving to Florida for warmth? I'm thinking of moving further south down near Miami or the islands lol

@flewby, you live in hernando county? My aunt has a house down there and im down there once or twice a year. I've been meaning to ask you but keep forgetting.


Back on topic, the only time i've ever seen gators in florida is in pictures, and once what looked to be a freshly hatched one, maybe 2 months old swimming up the weeki wachi river.

if i am not mistaken you have found you a nice looking black duck hen. if i could see the top of her wings i could tell better. Im pretty sure see isnt a mallard. but who knows

Yup...thats what I thought as well.

Definitely a black duck. Green bill=female, yellow bill=male. Hen mallard's bill=orange, plus they are not as dark.

Saw some woodies at dusk....and several other types (tons of teal down here)

Long drive....it was cool having the wife and my youngest kid with me this run.

I aint even going to begin to ID these rascals, im just killing some time while galleries upload and in between race reports

Hope ya like them, the conditions sometimes were pretty crappy but on a short trip in a new area you get what you can.

Almost did not see this lil' sucker. The strong light and his colors blended him right in

I drove to the Everglades before daylight and as the sun came up....the rain started. So I headed back north 2 hours where the rain wasnt as bad.
