Sweet man. I personally am not a fan of 8's but those SA's are little monsters. I gotta get my blowthrough started. :o

I was really getting serious about a blow through with my truck but I just cant do it.

If it wasn't a lightning I would do it in a heartbeat.

I was planning 4 AQ SDC2.5 15s on my AQ3500D.

Right now I really want more space in my truck so the 3.2 cube box had to go.. so now I got these badass 8s coming and going in a 1.6 cube ported box behind the seats.

I'm starting with 2 HDC3 18's on 2 AQ2200's strapped. Already have the box designed and all just need to get some cash. It will eventually get 4 of the HDC3's on 2 3500's strapped.

I read an awesome quote that made me decide to go with the blowthrough, "I will spend money making my truck the way I want it, the next owner can spend his money to make it the way he wants."

bad things about blowthroughs is many people will not touch the vehicle with that done. I did one in my dakota for 4 10's and it took a long time since pratically to seal it up correct a new cab is needed in most people's eyes. Nice setups if you plan to keep the truck

Unless your going with A coils I would just run 1 2200 on the 2 18s.

I wouldn't put over 1300 to each one.

I put up to 1600rms to each of mine and ripped the spider in one of them. Other one is fine though.

If you put more than 1300 just don't be surprised if you rip a spider.

Not to insult but I don't think your gains were set correctly. I'm running the copper coils, alum. coils aren't good for mixed types of music. I know plenty of people running a 2200 to each with no problem, the HDC3's are like BTL's, they love power. There are quite a few guys running 3000-3500 to each with copper coils and haven't had any problems. Just make sure you set the gains with an O-Scope and not a multimeter.

I also don't plan on selling my truck, I honestly plan on keeping this one for life.

Edit, here's my inspiration. :D

Show me 1 person running 3000-3500 to a copper coil HDC3 daily.

You have access to an O scope?
Yes I used a multimeter.

Im just telling you from my experience. ;)

What are you currently running?

Right now I'm running some kickers I got for cheap cheap cheap. lol. Yes I have access to an O-Scope. I know of four people running an AQ3500 to copper coils. It's not daily, mostly burps. I know of 10+ people running a 2200 to each HDC3 daily and have had no problems, just be nice to the bass knob. :p
