Kickstarter Not Going Back Against Plastic

My kickstarter does not want to go back towards the plastic. It stays out about an inch and there is slop in it. Is there a way to fix this or is the kickstarter worn out? Does someone sell a rebuild kit? Thanks

It's been a while since I did mine, but I believe I just picked up a thicker O-Ring from a hardware store. Held the kicker a bit tighter.

yup you can pull them apart and redo the spring en ball inside. aswell as use a thicker oring.
