$2500 is a little steep, but considering they are harder to find these days, if you are willing to pay for it, then it's not as ridiculous as new.

Here is what I think the parts would go for..

1. Frame $1,000
2. Swingarm with linkage $350
3. Front shocks $500
4. Rear shock $250

As of now he's not parting. It's supposedly doug gust's practice quad from 1999? going by the parts used and his initials and settings on the shocks it could be true? How does STEVE know of this quad from mich? I think my boy's considering a yfz trade. Hes on the fence, not sure what to do.

I seen it on craigslist..was planning on picking it up but it sold before I got up there.

Let me know if he wants to sell it hole.

I was going to pick that Laeger up last year as well. Your buddy got there a day before I was going to drive there and pick it up. $4K was a good deal! If he wants what he paid for it, I'll buy it.....

I have no idea if it is Doug Gust R. But I can tell you from building full Laeger Pro Trax Rs that you can spend 20k building it if you build it RIGHT.

To be honest, it would be better if it wasn't one of Doug's practice quads. Doug puts a ton of hard laps on his practice quads. Way more then the average person. Sure they are better maintained then average too, but I'm just saying.

But I do remember the guy (Tim I think his name was) your friend bought that Laeger from told me he bought it from a guy in Wisconsin.

At bare minimum for parting out this complete bike would be $5.000.00 Do'nt be fooled,this is a $20.000.00 bike!Not too many people could swallow giving away $15.000.00!Good luck to you and your friend!

Im new to this website and to 250r's i saw that this quad had cr500 linkage i was just wondering what year of linkage would be able to work on my bike 88 frame 87 swingarm not sure it would matter the year of my parts thank you
