take your time and the only goal you should have is to finish the race.....

make sure you have a kill switch
some other suggestions
Rolloff goggles
Hydration pack
Something for blisters on your hand (if you get them) We use chafezone, some use blister resister gloves
Handguards
Mudguards (if its muddy)
Some better skid plates

These are only suggestions. You may just want to go out and try it first before you spend money. As stated just pace yourself remember a lot can happen in 2 hours :D

Have fun!!!! Harescrambles are a blast pace yourself and stay as relaxed as possible and just try to finish it. Go over your bike with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything is perfect

keep your eyes ahead of you... not on the ground in front of you. It may be odd to get used to doing this but it helps tremendously. If you keep your eyes ahead of you, you can be predicting your path before you get there and be watching for obstacles and then you can usually manuever the obstacles with peripheal vision alone.

Just what i have found...

the only thing that is required on a bike is a tether kill switch. most people do not run nerfs

nerfs are a must have even if not required... they will save you a-lot of pain and suffering.
