I have a problem with the throttle sticking and not fully returning to the closed position since I have pulled it out of the box and installed it. It acts like it has a weak return spring. I have cleaned it several times trying to get it to return, but no luck. I have had two friends that had the same problem so they sold theirs. I should have listened to them and not purchased one. Anyone else having this issue, or any ideas on what to do to resolve this problem? Thanks, Jman

sounds like your return spring isn't wound tight enough. You should be able to grab it with pliers and wrap the bottom end of the spring around one more time.

I would try the spring idea first. The incoming air through the carb could be holding it from closing, if the force of the air is more than the force of the spring. Also on the Edelbrocks, the needles that are on the slide could get snagged, and not want to seat themselves in the little hole they sit in. Those would be the first two things I would look at
