no one knows this? or how to adjust the gap...my flywheel also has a weight on it. i assume for balancing. is this where the gap is measured,seeing how the puylse generator is in line with it.

thanks muddy mess. i was able to find that info. i was looking for the gap between the flywheel and pulse generator pick-up.
the ohms of resistance are within factory specs.

i have seeen on other posts people mentioning to check the gap, but i may have misunderstood. but on my bike it seems like its about 1/4-3/8" away:confused:

nbot sure what you mean. but if it comes back to my flywheel key possibly being sheared then maybe.
i will get an exact measurement and repost.

i too have looked at the service manual and cannot find any specs as to what the gap should be @the p/u coil.
what i meant by turned i mean lightened. i have seen flywheels that at some point been shade tree lightened and the pickup tab be cut also. :rolleyes:

no, its a woods set up. stock flywheel just balanced.
