right now i have a bills exhaust stage 2 hotcam and a k&n air filter but i want a dual exhaust but what brands make dual exhaust for 400ex's i only found a looney tooned exhuast but there really quiet and i dont want that kind please email me or post a reply

Last I heard that was still the only company aside from building one yourself. And I think you are just going to have a quiet quad unless you modify the mufflers because you basically have the same motor with 2 mufflers rather than one, so it's going to restrict more.

If I were you I'd get a little mig welder, some pipe the same size, 2 mufflers you want to use and a cheap little pipe bender and mock one up yourself. Nothing better than building it yourself. Not to mention you could probably find the mufflers on ebay or craigslist cheap and end up building the whole system cheaper than you could buy it.....and it is one of a kind!

Yeah, I think Pipeless spent like less than $150 on his duals project. Granted, he had access to everything he need to get the job done. That's going to be the main problem.

im just about to start my process on making dual exhaust for my quad.going to manipulate another stock header. but you do need a aftermarket air box or some ni***r rigging just to move the stock location of the battery. i spent 150 alone on the air box and 40 on the somewhat new header and i still need a muffler. i plan on keeping the quad for a while so the money i put into it is all worth it.

oh and if you want the loud exhaust (saves lives) like me just pick almost any muffler and just cut it to a shorty. guaranteed to be loud!!

hard work and patience will get u a good result just look at pipeless's quad it turned out awesome, its one of my favorite quads on this site that dual exhaust just sets it off

the head is ok.. i had the cases powdercoated though. i don't really think its worth it. if you're going to do it, just get it moly coated.
