I ran the Klotz Flex Drive 90 this year in our wild and crazy lil 70 and even with the extreme high speeds & high traction riggers of national TT racing it did very well, not one issue at all. I always put 100cc in, I have never done the "Fill it Full" thing.

Is that the Best oil for the trans? heck if I know I just know it Works for us even in nasty lil 108cc big bore strokers.

I have also used Flex Drive 30, Amsoil 10w40, Royal Purple and Maxima all with good results but with the Flex 90 I see absolutely no wear at all on the gears or bearings after a whole season of National and Local racing.

Hope that helps.........

We like Amsoil. I've run it in everything from my Harley to our chainsaws. A good quality synthetic is your best bet. I go with the 100cc also, not the fill till it comes out the tube thing.

A good quality Synthetic Automatic Transmission fluid for me. Less drag boys.

A very thin fully synthetic motor oil such as amsoil 30w synthetic. Change it out every race. No need for the thick gear oil any more these days with the slipper setups.

I am just putting out this question don't take it the wrong way. If the oil is so good why do you have to change it every race?? All there is, is two little gears. I could see if these mini's had a full tranny of moving parts. We use gear saver and change it every 20 hours of xc riding and it still looks new. I should ask this, with your setups are you creating that much heat to cause the oil to break down?

doesnt break down, but these gears always put out metallic particles in the oil, even after one race. So to prolong the life of your bearings and gears, it is best to put in clean fluid every time. 4 oz and 5 minutes is cheap insurance.
