Suspension parts interchange?

I am considering getting a 300 EX for my son to race MX. Just in case I need to upgrade suspension, do you know if 400 or 450 a-arms, swing-arms of shocks will interchange? If not, are there others that will work?

400 arms are a direct bolt on, and either 400 or 450 shocks will fit but you will need to buy a relocator bracket. as for the swing arm, look on the 300 threads. a 450 will work but brackets need to be welded on and i'm not sure about the linkage
