Well, I just soaked my stuff in carb cleaner for a good day, then stick it in a pot of boiling water for 15 min. Then take it outside and hit it with compressed air in every nook and cranny. Then I take Q-TIPS thru it with alcohol.

Anything that can be removed. Jets, needle, needle seat, gaskets. Pretty much anything that I can remove.

If you cant remove it, then chase it with lacing wire.;)

Its just that i dont know how, but would like to. Also, you are putting the jets & needles in the carb cleaner & boiling them to, right?

No, I strip that dang carb down to bare casting, and then I clean it. The jets I either replace or clean with pipe cleaners or lacing(safey)wire. All gaskets need to be removed. The boiling water pretty much loosens what ever the carb cleaner didn't loosen up. Then I shoot 95psi of compressed air into each passage on the carb. When I put it back together, I like to add a extreme tiny amount of "Blue" loctite on the idle and pilot jet screw.

Unless you have some off the wall carb. You screw the jets out with a flat head screwdriver and you use a wrench to unscrew the needle holder.
