oil in intake

My 400ex was running good then It started bogging and throwing alot of smoke. I pulled the airbox open and there is oil collecting in it (enough that it would get into the filter and carb). What could be pushing the oil through the case breather tube up into the intake? Would a clogged line or filter do this? Thanks for any help.

to much oil in the engine,have u filled it up recently?. did u check the oil levels as per spec?

Its dry sump so it you cant really overfill, but yes I used the dipstick and never filled it over 7/8. I did notice I had to add oil after a couple rides. I guess it was just pushing it up into the intake.

Sounds like your motor is toast to me! Time to rebuild...
