ok heres the deal was going to go with a falicon stroker but they stopped making them so now im thinking of the hot rods crank i have a 94mm athena big bore and am wondering if that piston will work or do i have to find a custom piston with a different pin height also any one run a hot rods? any problems? thanks

you will have to run a wiseco stroker piston. i have that set up in mine but i havent rode it yet. i have started it but i am still working on an air box set up for the yfz450 carb. plus there's to much snow right now to ride.

yeaa hotrods has changed there stroker cranks to a +4 instead of a +5 specifically so you can use a stock pin location piston

not sure yet on stroke how much difference in power would it make also have to check into the whole pump gas thing dont think i want to go to race fuel trail riding would be a pain then and wife wont let me buy another quad for the trails

when i talked to wiseco they told me all i have to run is premium gas don't need to run rac gas since the compression doesn't change. for the piston the pin is relocated so you don't have to run a spacer for clearance when piston goes to top dead center. if you just run any piston your going to have huge problems.

yeaa apparently that jefteland wasnt listening they superseded the old crank +5 to a new one +4 so that you can use any piston you want making it more convenient for ppl to mix and match

i was listening but i could not remember if i have a +5 or +4 when i ordered the crank i was told i had to run the different piston, so i bored it also. but i wish i would have gotten the +4 then i could have saved $225 from boring. oh will now i am a 450cc.

i did check with what crank i have it is a +5mm as for the piston it is a 92mm bore which brings it to 499cc.

i can only use these boots with the FCR because i have a RAT stack on the carb http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f9/cataway/9-21-2007LS061.jpg

these boots may work with the BSR carb , but i have never tired that.
