Transmission??????

Can someone elaborate on why yamaha decided to use shift forks that are pined to the sliders....that is the most pain in the *** transmission to put in i had to fang dangle all 6 piece at one time to get the damn thing in took me forever to get it right....it dosnt take a rocket scientist to realize that you make the forks slid on the shafts not the shafts slid in the cases...just plain stupid......maybe im doing it wrong...ne one got any tips.....i swear very time i work on one of these i i realize what a bigger and bigger piece of **** they are

LOL, sounds to me like you haven't worked on enough of them. My 1st couple of times were difficult but now it's as easy as cake work. Maybe you should stick to the slower Honda motors :ermm: .
