what is ebay escrow im looking to buy a car but its out of my state and the person said its insured by ebay escrow.

it is a non interest bearing account. but offers protection to the buyer. they hold the buyer's payment, releasing it to the seller only after confirmation that the buyer received what he or she agreed to purchase.

so my money would be safe and guaranetted until i get the car and the car is what it is said to be? i just dont wanna lose my money to a scammer

it sounds that way to me...

which seems similar to how paypal works as well..


works for me as the buyer, but if you're the seller it presents some possible issues with those that expect too much.

Don't do it. my cousin just lost 10k doing ebay escrow. make sure the shipping company has your name etc before you do anything

Don't walk away from this deal, run as fast as you can. It's a scam eBay doesn't have an escrow service. There are legitimate escrow services out there but eBay doesn't do it.

This is a major purchase if your wanting it shipped only buy from a legitimate dealer or go pick it up in person.
