silverado center seat

i have a regular cab 05 silverado, with bucket seats, but the center seat is a seperate peice. unlike normal, the center seat will not fold down, its just fixed, has bars running into the seat back, and the back side is carpeted. i was wondering what anyone else has done to get rid of this problem. i was looking at center consoles out of the same year, but the have a computer screen or something in them. any help is appreciated!

what kind of center console you talking bout? a full center console? like this one in my ecsb 2000 model?

i was wondering if anyone had put a center console in it instead of the "jump seat", because i didnt know if the center console like the one in your truck will fit.

The center console TC has should fit. However the front part of that console has a tape player. You don't have that piece at all do you?

The interiors in that body style are all pretty much the same. Just some changes with the radio and heat and the steering wheel. I doubt they changed the dimensions of the seats or the way they mount so you should be good. Check out fullsizechevy.com ....They could probably answer your question in 10 minutes for sure.

theirs is a little cubby in mine where his center console meets the dash. i think im just going to go to a junk yard and take a look around

You have the base model buckets.. You can buy a center that folds up and down, it will be out of a higher model(interior wise)


This is what you need, other then mine is a diff color then yours. Or you can do the tahoe/suburban center

I have the same seat as Thumpin440ex and i have been looking into replacing it with the full floor console like the one in the ebay listing below.

From what i have found that console will mount to the same bolts that hold the middle seat in. You do have to be sure if you get the console that you also get the glove compartment panel or else you would have to cut the panel you currently have.

dude if you want a center console check fsc somebody has one on there f/s pretty cheap in good conditon.
