Ok so I got new tie rods to put on and I go to take the ends off my old ones. They won't come off!!! I tried a huge pipe wrench that gets my locknut loose and all it does is spin the tie rod in the vise. Are they reversed theards or just real tight? Any help would be great
Thanks

one side is reverse thread and the other is regularly threaded.

And what should I look for to know which is which?

If they are stock i think the gold ball joint is reverse thread and the silver is regular but im not 100% on that.

That or put the one of the tie rods in the vise, turn the one on the opp end in one direction, if it doesn't spin turn it the other one.. Then you know the other end turns opp

I picked up a used machine last year to use around the property (not a 450r) that had bent tie rods. They wouldnt come out no matter what I tried. We went through a can of PB blaster, heat and torque. After about 2 weeks I just pulled out the long bar and collapsed the tie rod in the vice so the vice jaws would hold it and we got them out. Sometimes the threads are just filled with years of crap and they wont come out.
