Just picked up a 2005 TRX450R. Previous owner didn't seem too bright but got the bike for a GREAT price. This bike didn't receive the greatest treatment and care, but I intend to change that. Please help me choose a base point to start at with jetting.

Here are the mods the bike has over stock:

+1mm Ferra Stainless Intake Valves
+1mm Ferra Stainless Exhaust Valves
Big Gun Slip On Silencer
Airbox Delete w/Uni Air Filter
Fairly aggressive porting
According to previous owner, head was milled .045

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Anyone??? :confused: Any recommendations on the best main jet size? Testing the bike out tomorrrow and would hate to be horribly rich/lean on the top end.

not sure what your altitude or ride temp will be but i would start with a 130 main 52 pilot get an aftermarket needle and set it to the 3rd clip down for the more common needles and turn the pilot screw out 2.5 turns

Sorry, I'll be testing it at Glamis, CA.

Altitude = ~ 200-400ft

Temp 50-85 degrees (70 avg)

He's not running an lid, or airbox for that matter. If it were me, I would start at 185 main, 52 pilot, 2nd clip from bottom, and 2.5 turns on the screw. This is what I ran with no lid. So I'm assuming this will be a little on the lean side, but it will be a good starting point.
