660r 2nd needs to be fixed

hey guys i got a question i was gonna by this 660r raptor but he said 2nd gear is slipping. do you now how much that would cost to fix any help would be great thanks

2001 he said its common for the raptors

for the 01s it is....mine has never had a problem but ALOT of them do.

raptortranny.com used to have the parts needed to fix the problem but they are gone now.

try it here. i dont know how much it costs but it should cure your problem.

EDIT: i also heard that trinity racing had a update kit as well but im not sure of it.

yes it is common on the '01 ,they added another dog on the gear for '02 and newer.you have to split the cases and replace the gear or replace the entire tranny with a newer trnsmission

okay well thanks for the help i was gonna trade him my 2006 polaris trail boss 330 for his raptor but i think im just gonna sell my quad instead of dealing with the hassle if i got his raptor. well thanks for the help guys
