View Full Version : 400ex frame 450r motor

im gonig to buy a 400ex frame off line and was thiniking about puting a 450 motor in it, has anyone done this and will it bolt right up? i have a 416 already and a spare motor for it but want a sleeper, email me any suggestiions or knowlege of the topic

I am not sure, but I was wanting to do the same exact thing.. So hope people post up what needs to be changed.. I am pretty sure it isn't a direct bolt in.. The 450 motor seems to sit more up right then the 400's does...

go to the hybrid section. it has been done to death.

if it has a 450r engine in it its not really a sleeper.. our engines aren't hidden haha. ps- i'm guessing its a lot more work than you're imagining. can you weld?

If your looking for a modded frame i have one already done to accept stock 450r components. It includes the sub frame and will take stock 450r mounts, exhaust, and electronics. I went to a 450r frame and its been sitting in the shed for over a year now so ill take a very reasonable offer.
