WhenI press start it catches for a turn or two then just spins whats going on. I have a new battery and soleniod I already put on????I have another 400ex and changed starter and did the same thing.I dont know if both starters are bad..the other bike was not running..any body know whats going on:ermm: THANKS

pull the starter totally apart and clean everything with a clean rag there is most likely some dirt on the clutch engagement and wont let it engage the wlole way oh and also youre flywhel or whatever the starter catches on could be missing some teeth so when you sheck the starter look into the hole where the drive gear goes and turn the mototr manually and look for a chipped tooth or no tooth good luck the starter should be fine
