I have a 2004 DVX that is stock except for a uni air filter. I just ordered a FMF power bomb header pipe and a Lexx Mxe slip on. I ordered a 25 pilot jet and also a 150 and 155 main jet. Any suggestions on which main jet i should use? I live in northern ky and its 747 feet above sea level. thanks for any help you can give.

youll prolly be better off with the 155...however you might need to shim the needle up a bit as well

How do you shim a jet? Im guessing with washers? If so how many should I use?

No your not going to shim the jets the need that comes in from the top of the carb has certain levels you can put a clip on. He's saying you'll need to bump it up a couple of levels

well actually you would move the clip down on the needle to richen but if he is not getting an aftermarket needle he will need to shim the stock one because they are non adjustable

depending on altitude and temperature that may be all you have to do but there are factors involved..best advice is that if you dont know what you doing work closely with someone who does to learn...burning down you engine because you dont know what your doing sux

Just got my exhaust and have another question. It has a spark arrestor installed. I know I can leave it in and it will be quieter or take it out. Will I gain much power by taking it out? If I leave it in should I still use my 155 main jet? Thanks again for all the help.
