Can anyone tell me why my sons trx 90 continues to rev after the throttle has been released? It will slow back down then idle good for a minute or two then shut off like it flooded, but it will start right back up.

check the choke or possibly a partially clogged jet. make sure the choke is all the way off after its warmed up. if the gas is old it could just be the gas gumming up in the carb. take it apart and check or clean it if possible

Thanks. I ended up changing the carburetor. I took the original apart and cleaned it throughly and couldnt find anything wrong but the new carburetor works perfect.
