the gasket was bubbling and obviously blowing out oil.

my question is im only running 11:1 so do you think the stock stud pulled or just a ****ty gasket?

I used moose racing gasket kit and this time ill use cometic.

im gonna get the head ported while its off but should i get hd studs or just try a cometic gasket and see if that was the problem?

thanks for any input

i have the exact same problem with the same gasket so its a good chance to go from 416 to 426 with the gtt studs and the xr 400 gasket but the head gaskets suck all the other moose gaskets are good but that one

i have a kwik question........

how long do you have on this build/gasket? and did you go back and double check the torque specs after you did the initial breakin? this is important to ensure that this sort of thing doesnt happen. regardless of the c/r and bore size. juss a lil food for thought. ;)

agreed those gaskets are junk.just out of interest did you, take the head off and retorque the barrel down after a few heat cycles?.after you roplaced the gasket.
thats one thing that alot of ppl dont do on fibre gaskets, thats why i run the layered tin gasket(lazy boy lol).
if it was me,i'd just try a diffrent head gasket 1st,making sure the surfaces are super clean.john

i prolly have maybe 100 hours on this build/gasket.
