Seat Pan swap?

Are the seat pans the same for all years of the 250r?
If they are different, can they be swapped by changing seat backets?

the 89 (not sure about the 88) has the front(hooked)brackets molded into the pan. so no the brackets cant be swapped.

are the brackets in the same place?... allowing seats to be swapped from year to year

85-87 uses a bracket for the seat stay and 88/89 has it molded into the seat pan. They are interchangeable, but the seat latch is different, I think its the bolt pattern.

i have had both pans on my 86 tha 88-89 pan doesnt fit right it looks goofy on the bike and tends to bend in the middle when you sit on it so i bought the 86 pan and it fits great if you have an 86 get 86 pan and bracket if you got an 88 i got an extra pan
