450R Carb on a 400ex

Hello, I am putting a 450R carb onto my 400ex and was wondering where I can find a boot to connect both since the 450 is a 40mm and the 400ex is a 35mm. Any suggestions? Thank you.

you can either make an adaptor or buy one from zrpilot, you can use the 450 airbox, or you can take some material out of the stock tube and stretch it to make the right distance and size to cover the size and length difference. steve

I have two more questions. How do you get the stock gas tank to sit properly without rubbing and what kind of shut off valve do you use on it?

the 04-05 carbs dont need any modding to fit in but i am not sure how the other ones fit in. the shut off is on the tank. it is built into the petcock so there is no need for any more shut offs. steve
