Im considering picking up a set of nerf bars with heel guards for my 2006 z400. Not quite sure what I want just yet but don't want to waste money on something that wont hold up.

Currently thinking Moose Racing or Pro Armor. Depending on the responses I might change my mind.

So give my your thoughts, comments and suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated with my search.

I currenty have pro armor and they are rock solid. Check out ebay seller rf900guy...best deal that I could find. Used to have the square shaped DC nerfs and broke 2 net tabs on each side.

tusk makes decent nerf bars with heel guards. they are preety cheap and from the reviews hold up well. i have the tusk comp nerf bars because i just kept my stock heel guards.

I also have the TUSK nerfs and they are pretty descent for the money. I have put them through some tough stuff and they have held up well.

I rum Moose nerf bars on my z400 and have broke both of them one time or another and had to re tig them. I am pretty rough on them and get hung up on them alot. My bike already had them on it when I got it or I wouldn't have bought them. Only reason I keep them on now is that they have saved my feet and legs many times though

housers got some new nerf bars out, they look bad ***, the pegs have self absorbing shocks in them to reduce rider fituge, i no jason dunklebugers running them this year and thier not terribly expensive compared to other brands and you get a tons of powdercoated colors to choose from, i have tusk, and their cheap but still holding together, somehow lol

Your problems isn't the maker of nerfs. The problem lies in the material. Its aluminum for peet sakes! You wanna good set of nerfs??? Build them yourself! I had a friend build me a set out of DOM and I can tell you first hand it will take a hit. I had theses on my DVX400 and I currently run theses on my 450r. Granted, I run harescrambles, but they can be made to accept nets for you MX boys and girls.
