XC yfz Build

im an 18 year old college student and decided to switch to woods. working on building a budget xc yfz450. heres what I have so far. dont mind my mess.

motor
carb
stock rear end
rpm axle
rear caliper

have all my nickle and dime stuff on the way. and picking up a frame this weekend.

startin to come together now, looks like its going to be pretty nice when your done. have you decided what your plans are for suspension? i'm also doing a little xc build, going from an all out flat track bike to decent xc bike in two days... first race is tomorrow so i gotta get to moving on it lol

moneys kind of tight right now so i think im going to run stock until im working steady this summer then im thinking an smc high clearence aarms with motowoz

couple of things come to mind right of the bat.

skid plates (a must)

switch from the 04-05 swing arm to a round housing with 06+ skid plat mounts.

stearing stabalizer

and 6 ply tires.


that is the very cheapest you can get by with in my opinion.

i got alot of parts that you cant see, and as far as swingarm and that goes im switchen my suspension out to all aftermarkets this summer when i have time to work.
