I can get an edelbrock carb from a buddy for the price of jetting his bike with a stock carb and fixing a couple other stupid things. I have a 2004 450r with a +3mm hot rods stroker crank sparks head full yosh and crf flywheel. Will i notice a big difference in power if i use the edelbrock?

Any downsides to the edelbrock vs stock? I can't see a choke or hot start on the edelbrock, will i have a problem starting my bike with it? Also how hard are they to tune?

I'm not looking to be told to buy a fcr i am asking peoples' opinions on the edelbrock from experience, not what they have heard.

No one has any input to this?

The reason you aren't getting any advise is because there is hardly anybody using them. If somebody is going to upgrade, they are going to upgrade to an FCR. Not the same style carb as they've got.

If you are jetted correctly, you probably won't miss the choke. Hotstart is a different story. It will make it much harder to start when you stall.
