400 ex wiring

ok i have a 00 400 ex.. the batter wasnt charging off of the bike.. so i got a new battery and celanoid.. i charged the battery and tested it wit a volt meter the voltage was goodthen i tried testing it as it was running and the voltage didnt seem to go up any higher... i was wondering about the wireing before i buy a new stator. my battery wiring has a negative ground to the bike and the positive goes to the celanoid then there is a fused wire that runs from the celanoid off the positive.. is that right..????

did you check voltage to the rectifer(voltage regulater) Your voltage goes from stator to rectifer then rectifer distributes power
