I have been hearing bad things about the older models having wheel bearing problems, has this been resolved on the 09 model?
What would be a good replacement option for the stock units if not?

09 are supposed to be better, but still china. If you do replace, I would just go with a good USA manufacturer. I have heard E-Bay has some bargins, but I do not shop there.

I switched mine out with the best ones available from my local O'Riley's.

Over a year later and no complaints.

just did a set tonight on a friend wifes bike (06) and if you can, skf and cr make good stuff, i think allballs are good but i believe them to still be china! be sure and get yourself some seals that have either a single or double lip with tension spring on them, dont go with a wiper seal, thats how water gets in there, also a tip, be sure and put some anti seize on the spindle shaft before you put them back on, you will be happy the next time you go to put the hub off! just my 2 pennies!
