They're called Yama-bombs for a reason. Went from one to 2 Hondas and couldn't be happier!

if you like your honda you will despise that yamaha after you ride it for a day or 2. yamaha is like a giant smurf turd.

im like.. Loathing my TRX lol

its been breakin my balls.. haha

I had a 05 YFZ, sold it within the week i got it, but thats because i locked the crank on my TRX.
its been ALOT of trouble..

The main reason i want to trade is because, its STOCK, which equals More Reliable..

going off your sig. it doesnt really look like your motor should be unreliable. the only things that are not stock is the hotrods crank, and a cam which shouldnt reduce the reliability that much at all. when you start building like 600cc bigbore/stroker motors is when youll probably want to start worring about reliability. plus isnt honda known for its reliability?

DO U TAKE CARE OF UR HONDA
AND MY OPINION ON THE HOTRODS IS NOT GOOD ID RATHER GO WITH A FALICON CRANK WHICH I HAVE IN MY BIKE

hot rod cranks arnt bad i think and i was told i have a good combo with the hot rod crank and oem bearings

miles Machine

hot rods suck...unbalanced, bad big end bearings that usually go out quick....all the ones ive seen go i wouldnt recommend them to anyone...for honda the best crank to put in them is OEM

well i was told mine was soppose to be welded and balanced and it would be fine but also helping it is the lighter piston

miles Machine

the lighter style pistons will help...but ive seen hot rods cranks (the webs) even be machined wrong and not fit at all or scrap the bottom of the cases

mine is stock stroke so it should be fine

so... i should have just gotten a stock crank and payed an extra 200 - 300 for it?

it should be ok with just the HRC kit and the Hot Rods Crank right?

Thats the thing about the internet, theres a lot of good info and a lot of BS as well.Having been working on bikes/quads for 25yrs or so i have seen bad examples of just about any brand but saying "hot rods" are junk couldnt be farther from the truth.I have had good luck with them but just like anything else installation is everything. So could somebody have gotten a faulty crank from HotRods?certainly just like people have complained of wiseco pistons exploding, theres always gonna be quality control issues with everybrand at one time or another.hence Toyota recall...;)

well when top builders around here wont use them because they say there junk i tend to believe them too...**** one even works for walsh race craft

whats funny is how the kids are so quick to jump on a product thats endorsed by a big name, take 10 of the top engine builders and have one of their race motors in a quad and line them up,guess what?there can only be one winner.have some of you morons ever thought that it could be the rider and not the motor?Stop petting the hairs on the chests of these big name companies because your favorite rider uses them.Chances are when you send a motor to one of them its basically a generic build with some kid making 7bux /hr doing the wrenching.believe it

I personally know the guy that owns the shop rebuilding my quad, hes been working on quads, dirtbikes, sleds, boats, and trucks for over 34 years now. Ive never had a problem with the work he has done for me in the past.

And i don't have a favorite rider :P
