seems like most guys have been saying that the main jet should be changed to a larger one, i think they come with 148, i bumped mine to a 155, im adding the HMF QRS slip on and a TPI air valve for the airbox to be able to adjust the air.

No needle changes though. 148 to 155 isnt to much. i havent even touched this thing yet and all my other machines have mikunis so im sure the kehin(if im correct) has different jets.

i may be going up on the pilot since the slip on flows so much more. maybe a 45 pilot, now im at sea level and ride from 0-2500' and dont need to worry, im not sure if your elevation is much to be concerned as the 4 stroke is not as temper mental with jetting.

I'm @ 165 with a muzzy's and uni-filter......plus the JD blue needle and big o-ring.

so a 155 would prob be ok then right for my altitude.

It's hard to "shotgun" tune the jetting, But If it were me I'd try a 160, for a couple reasons.

1. I'd rather be rich, than lean
2. The Outlaws are crazy lean from the factory, they should have been ~155 when stock, IMO

With a muzzy, uni-filter, and ehs lid, I am at 168main, red JD needle in 5th, Big o-ring mod, up to 48 on pilot, 1 turn out on screw. This is good for about 50-75 degrees, 900ft altitude. Also running E-10 fuel.:D

should i just order a jet kit for it? Looks like JD or dynojet which has the best instructions for setups?

The JD kit is a matter of opinion. I like mine, but some say it is a waste. The needle is the only difference, but you also pay for his expert advice if you are having problems. I bought it for the needle, and I think it is better IMO.

The Muzzy did not come with jetting instructions, IIRC.

polarisowners.com has a big section on jetting outlaws, lots of good info there.
