Well its getting closer and closer to the start of riding season and i am looking to upgrade a few things.

I like how my quad runs so i would like to do some things that will keep it running good and make the ride better.

first thing i noticed riding last year was after hard trail riding the top end would get real noisy and i think my oil temp was up a little higher than it should have been. Valves and everything are watched very closely.

Will a oversize oil tank be worth it to lower the temp? and if so what is a good one?

I would like nerf bars but would like to keep my stock heel guards. What brand works best in this situation?

Next is the clutch i havnt noticed a problem but im wondering if i would notice a difference if i put new steels and fibers in?

Any suggestions on small stuff that you guys found to be a great investment i would appreciate. Thanks.

i have allmost the same setup with the oversized oil tank and it keeps the temp lower longer and the noise it might be the timming chain i would take the topend down and check all of it out

thanks. when it was rebuilt i didnt change the tensioner but did put a crf timing chain and im wondering if the tensioner is getting wore out. that might be on the list too.

what kind of resevoir do you have?

changing your clutch wont do much except have a better clutch feel unless u went up to heavy duty springs or a hinson clutch kit then your looken at spendin some money. the nerf situation there are tons of nerf u can get just have to pick the ones u like. some companys that will work with stock heel gaurds are blingstar, tusk, dg, some ac nerfs. you jusy need to get one that connect to your stock foot pegs. but for the money your going to spend i would get nerfs that have heel gaurds attached make it easyer on yourself but if u like your stock one keep them.

if the tensioner was put in right they hardly ever go bad the tank is from CFM on ebay they are very nice but if u have a stock header its a ***** to get on and off

one of the best small items i have gotten for my 400 was an aluminum airbox that relocates the battery in the airbox. looken at $90 but it makes your center of gravity better and its easyier to take on and off your rear plastics and it looks nice also. ebay is the best place for and air box and the cheapest. they build them to order and the welds are perect looks like a roll of nickels and if u know anything about welding u know that is a damn good weld.

i think im gonna get both the tank and airbox from CFM since they are right here local and i will prolly get a deal buying both at the same time.

Now i just gotta find some nerf bars and maybe some new tires.
