porting

hi, i have a 250x that i was thinking of getting a port & polish job. the motor is basically stock with fmf header and muffler, and k&n intake. would this work be worth it. would have anything to gain or lose? thanx

no its not worth it... save your money for when you go to move up to a bigger bike...

I agree. If you want to go faster, sell the 250x and buy something better with the money.

the 250x is very capable of imporvment and someone who knows what they are doing with it can really help you out. I ran a 300ex (same thing basically) and I only ran a filter pipe and piston and it was enough to keep me ahead of the pack while racing.

If you were to do what I did and a port job, I think you would have a very quick 250x.

thanx for the advice, i was up in the air about porting. i might hold off till i get a bigger bike
