starting in gear

hey guys my 400ex needs to be in neutral to start. my friends 400 can be in gear and if you hit the button it will turn over and roll away. how can i make mine or what is done to is? i hate having to always find neutral to start after stalling. thanks

you have to connect the wires for the switch together to get it to start all the time, clutch in or not. where the two wires that went to the little black box on the stock setup go, you can put a fuse in them since they have the connectors for that already or you can wire them together. I cant remember what colors they are off hand but unless someone before you cut the wires they should be in the harness somewhere. steve

mine is like that just went look at it the green/yellow and green wires on the handlebar going the start button cut them and connect them to gather at least thats the way mine is it was like that wheni got it and disconnected them and it wouldnt start i n gear
