hey guys, im rebuilding my Honda 250x... i have pretty much no budget to buy aftermarket. Not literally, but im budgeting myself at about $150. for now. as of now, i want to get new piston rings, a clutch, and port+polish the intake+exhaust ports. do u think i will get a SLIGHT power boost? for such a low budget i would be happy at a slight boost.
my quad is from 1991, i bought it 2 years ago, and idk when the last time the clutch was replaced. im assuming its worn out because it doesn't start "grabbing' until the clutch lever is almost all the way out. or it could just be poor cable tensioning?
last and least, i plan on removing the bulky, nasty, stock cylinder head breathing tube and replacing it with a small case breather from autozone.
any input on my mods? pros cons? advice?

more airflow in a 250x/300ex will always be noticeable. these motors are very restrictive in stock form mainly due to the valve size.

the biggest problem i see it your budget a port and polish is goin to run you 170 ish minimum. a clutch kit will run you around 70 if i remember correctly.

i would do some adjusting on your clutch cable adjusters and see if it helps first.
