The Predators suffer from the infamous front brake drag. On any vehicle, atv, dirtbike etc etc you have some drag, but with the Predator it's much much more. On a longer wheelie the front wheels will actually stop turning. It's either a flaw in the master cylinder design (manufactured by Wilwood) not allowing enough pressure to be released or it's a fault of the caliper/piston design. I chose to knock out both at one time.
You can see that I inserted a spring inbetween the brake pads in order to compress the caliper slightly. Looks like my brake pads are a little rusty, but they are original from '03

The Predator uses a two part caliper, this is fortunate because I don't have an allen wrench large enough to remove the slide pins. Remove the two hex head bolts, not the two with green paint as pictured.

With the caliper in two halves, insert the springs inbetween the pads on the pins, repeat top and bottom. I pulled the pins and removed any buildup at this time. Tighten up the two bolts and you're done.

Here's the dimensions on the spring(s) I used.

I replaced the master cylinder with a Banshee unit, just because I had an extra at the house. In doing so the throttle housing had to be replaced also for fitment reasons. Here you can see both and the ODI Lock on grips which full on rock.

And one of the Predator for good measure.
