trouble with podium x shock

my fox poduim x shock will not mount up to my linkage and the frame on my honda 450... many people have told me i do not need aftermarket linkage but i cant seem to get it to mount in perfect... do i need aftermarket linkage in order to use the poduim x rear shock?

did you buy it used? make sure that the shock is setup for a stock rearend. do you have a eye-eye measurement?

I bought the shock from a guy who said it was brand new... which it does look brand new and I measured the shock and it reads 17.5

that is for some sort of LT rear end, not sure but either a texiera, walsh savoir/EZ JB superlink or LSR outlaw. you need to buy a new rear setup to use that shock
