I have a 350 esr in my 1988 and love it. It has endless power. I have never owned a 330 but a few friends have them and they love them. Our bikes are the same speed in a drag but i am 230 lbs. so that is a handicap for me. hope this helps.

You really can't go wrong with either of them. One thing you might consider, a guy told me that the 350 cylinders often leak water between the sleeve and the water jacket casting after they are re-sleeved because the casting is so thin is some places. If you are planning on keeping it for a long time, you might go with the 330. Also consider the number of oversizes for the piston. Not sure how many there is for each.

I was told that the 330 is much better for longevity and cooling as well. Probably the better choice for woods riding.

I'd say a 310 (which is 292cc's on 1st bore). That's the most dependable IMO.
The 330's are OK also.
I'd not go to a 350 cuz of reliability (woods+mud=HEAT) and::::
Don't the cases have to be modified? I'm about positive that the 350's had to have machining done. Maybe for the 330 too..
Better investigate that aspect.

My 310 was a torque monster. Twas great!! Make a turn and blip it up over a hill that would have taken a lil clutch fanning on a 250 cylinder.

For woods, a 250 cyl w/powervalve could work well.

I'm sure that Eddie will point you in the right direction.:)

you have to have your cases machined with a 350 for sure, but there are a few 330's you can buy now that do not require case boring, a 310 is a good woods motor and also they do not need any case work... your choice
